Therapeutic yoga · Gurugram
Therapeutic yoga, adapted carefully to your body.
Therapeutic yoga adapts postures, breathing and pace to a particular concern. Master Samresh Keshyap specialises in yoga therapy, body alignment and sports injury therapy, and he trains and mentors every teacher on the team.
What therapeutic yoga involves
Your teacher begins by understanding your history and how you move. Sessions are usually slower and more precise than a general class, using props and modified postures so you can work within a comfortable range.
What it is not
Yoga instruction supports your care, but it does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and individual experiences vary. If you have a condition or injury, or are recovering from surgery, please check with your doctor first and share their advice with your teacher.
Common questions
- Can I do therapeutic yoga after an injury or surgery?
- Often, once your doctor has advised that you can return to gentle movement. Your teacher will then adapt the practice to that advice.
- Is therapeutic yoga suitable for beginners?
- Yes. No experience is needed, because the practice is shaped around you from the first session.
